Our client is a well-established and major producer of high-quality building and interior materials, operating across multiple markets in Europe. The company is committed to innovation, strong customer partnerships, and sustainable growth. They are now seeking a motivated and responsible Sales Operations Team Leader to strengthen and optimize their established sales organization.
Role Overview
This role will focus on improving forecasting accuracy, reporting standards, pricing governance, sales analytics, and order process efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a system builder with strong analytical capabilities who can bring structure, clarity, and insight into an experienced sales team environment. The role is approximately 65% strategic and 35% hands-on.
Scope: B2B-focused (with B2C exposure), Global operations
Reporting:
The position is reporting to Sales Group Manager and has 6 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Performance Management
Improve forecast accuracy and visibility
Develop clear sales performance dashboards
Define and track KPIs across B2B and B2C segments
2. Reporting, Analytics & Insights
Build structured reporting frameworks
Transform raw data into actionable insights
Conduct margin, customer, and product performance analyses
Provide benchmarking and business performance comparisons
Support management decision-making with data-driven recommendations
3. Pricing & Discount Governance
Analyze pricing structures and discount practices
Recommend pricing improvements to enhance margin and competitiveness
Support development of structured pricing guidelines
4. Order Process & Operational Excellence
Optimize order management processes
Improve on-time cycle performance
Identify bottlenecks and simplification opportunities
Increase transparency across sales–operations, planning workflow
5. Sales Incentive & Bonus Optimization
Review and simplify existing bonus structure
Improve transparency and alignment with company objectives
6. Team Leadership
Lead and develop a team of 6 sales operations professionals
Foster accountability while maintaining a collaborative environment
Act as a trusted partner to senior sales members
Build authority through competence, clarity, and consistency
Profile Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, or Revenue Operations
Strong global background in B2B environments (B2C exposure is a plus)
Advanced Excel skills (expert level)
Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving ability
Experience improving forecasting and reporting frameworks
Solid understanding of pricing mechanics and order management
Process-oriented with system-building capability
Confident but collaborative leadership style
Strong communication skills across Sales, Finance and Planning
