Program Manager - Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R) - Atlanta - US

Our Client is a rapidly growing technology company operating at the intersection of advanced software, data and supply chain innovation. The organisation is undertaking a number of strategic transformation initiatives designed to improve planning, inventory visibility, replenishment performance and overall supply chain efficiency. As part of this continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Program Manager – Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R) to lead complex, cross-functional programmes involving Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Procurement, Operations, IT and Data teams. This is a key position offering the opportunity to play a significant role in shaping and delivering major supply chain transformation initiatives within a highly dynamic and technology-driven environment.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager – Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R) to lead strategic Supply Chain and Inventory Planning programs for a leading retail and supply chain organization.

The successful candidate will manage complex, cross-functional programs focused on inventory optimization, demand forecasting, replenishment, supply chain planning and business process transformation.

You will oversee multiple interconnected workstreams, bringing together Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Procurement, Operations, IT, Data and Business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives and measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will combine strong Program Management capabilities with hands-on Supply Chain domain expertise, particularly across Inventory Planning & Replenishment, Demand Forecasting, Inventory Optimization and Supply Chain Planning.

Experience within retail, distribution, manufacturing or similarly complex supply chain environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Supply Chain and Inventory Planning & Replenishment programs from strategy and initiation through implementation, stabilization and benefits realization.

• Own program objectives, roadmaps, governance structures, milestones, dependencies, risks and overall delivery outcomes across multiple workstreams.

• Lead cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Procurement, Operations, IT, Data and Business functions.

• Drive strategic initiatives focused on inventory optimization, demand forecasting, replenishment, service-level improvement, inventory availability and broader supply chain transformation.

• Translate business strategy and supply chain objectives into actionable program roadmaps, priorities and execution plans.

• Partner with business and technology leadership to define program scope, requirements, solution priorities, success metrics and implementation strategies.

• Manage interdependencies across multiple projects and workstreams, proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact program objectives.

• Drive improvements to inventory planning processes, replenishment strategies, ordering parameters, safety stock, inventory policies, item/location setup and planning processes.

• Provide leadership throughout the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements, solution design, development, testing, UAT, deployment and post-go-live stabilization.

• Establish and monitor program KPIs and business outcomes, including forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, stock availability, inventory levels, replenishment performance and working capital.

• Lead program governance, steering committee meetings, executive reviews, status reporting and stakeholder communications.

• Proactively manage program risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and resource constraints, escalating appropriately to senior leadership.

• Lead organizational change management, business readiness, training and adoption of new processes and technology capabilities.

• Work closely with Supply Chain leadership to identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, optimization and continuous improvement.

• Ensure program deliverables align with business objectives, operational requirements, technology strategy and broader supply chain transformation goals.

• Manage external vendors, implementation partners and technology providers where required.

• Ensure a successful transition of new capabilities into business-as-usual operations and track the realization of expected business benefits.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Supply Chain Transformation or a related discipline.

• Significant experience managing complex Supply Chain initiatives involving multiple projects and workstreams.

• Strong domain expertise in Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R).

• Hands-on understanding of:

• Proven experience leading large, complex programs involving multiple business functions, projects, workstreams and technology teams.

• Experience working with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Procurement, Operations, IT, Data and Business leadership.

• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning and inventory management processes within retail, distribution, manufacturing or similar environments.

• Proven ability to manage program roadmaps, governance, budgets, risks, dependencies, resources and executive-level communications.

• Experience leading Supply Chain Planning or IP&R system implementations, transformations or major enhancements.

• Experience managing the full implementation lifecycle, from requirements and solution design through testing, UAT, deployment, change management and post-go-live stabilization.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex supply chain challenges into practical and actionable solutions.

• Excellent executive communication, leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid program delivery environments.

• Ability and willingness to work onsite in Atlanta, GA, five days per week.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a Senior Supply Chain Program Manager who combines strong program leadership with genuine hands-on knowledge of inventory planning and replenishment.

You should be comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, working with senior business executives while also understanding the detailed supply chain processes, systems and data that underpin inventory and replenishment decisions.

Strong candidates will have a proven track record of delivering large-scale supply chain transformations or IP&R implementations, managing complex stakeholder environments and delivering measurable improvements in inventory availability, service levels, forecast accuracy, working capital and operational performance.
