An exciting opportunity has arisen for a “marketing Manager-Refractory Producers” role for for our client in their headquarters in Paris, who is a world leader in mining of performance minerals for the industry.
Job Summary / Purpose
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager is responsible for analyzing market intelligence including market dynamics, customers, competitors, and technologies to develop long-term insights into key industry drivers and their impact on product offerings and value propositions.
The role also involves developing and implementing marketing strategies that support the overall business objectives.
This position works cross-functionally with sales, marketing, communications, technical support, R&D, product management, and strategy teams.
Key Responsibilities
Market Environment & Competitive Intelligence (50%)
Analyze quantitative data from multiple sources, monitoring key raw material trends, competition (news, imports/exports), customer behaviors, and market dynamics.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other internal teams to share market insights.
Manage and enhance digital tools such as the Market Intelligence Portal, a platform for sharing information, dashboards, and updates across the team.
Produce and update market dashboards (monthly, quarterly), integrating data such as:
Market economic indicators
Raw material price trends
Competitive import/export data
Sales performance and price benchmarks
Emerging technical and market trendsUpdate pricing guidelines and reports based on quantitative and qualitative analyses.
Continuously improve and maintain marketing dashboards and digital tools (CRM, Salesforce, pricing tools, etc.).
Operational Marketing (10–25%)
Represent the company at external events, conferences, and industry gatherings.
Prepare marketing content and materials for internal and external events (commercial meetings, technical conferences, etc.).
Develop and maintain structured customer profiles to enhance commercial targeting and value propositions.
Support deployment of marketing tools such as digital brochures, presentation kits, technical data sheets, and dashboards.
Collaborate with communications and product management teams to ensure consistent messaging and positioning across regions.
Strategic Marketing (15–40%)
Identify and analyze new business opportunities and future market trends.
Build business cases, models, and strategic plans.
Support the development and execution of the long-term strategy for the industrial materials segment.
Contribute to M&A projects, providing insights on sales and marketing topics.
Job Requirements
Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B marketing, business analysis, or sales, ideally within an industrial or technical environment (e.g., refractory, steel, metallurgy, ceramics, cement, construction materials).
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in data management.
Advanced user of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), LinkedIn, SAP Analytics, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Understanding of industrial and refractory markets, applications, customers, and products.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a multicultural, international team.
Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
