About the Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Forward Deployed Engineer to join a fast-growing AI product company in London.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role where you will work closely with enterprise clients to implement, integrate, and optimise AI-powered solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills, practical AI/LLM experience, and the ability to translate customer needs into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and solutions for enterprise customers.

• Work directly with clients to understand their business requirements and technical challenges.

• Integrate AI products with existing customer systems, databases, and APIs.

• Build and implement LLM-based applications, AI agents, and automated workflows.

• Develop proof-of-concepts and turn them into reliable, production-ready solutions.

• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimise performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to improve product capabilities based on customer feedback.

• Support customers throughout implementation, deployment, and ongoing optimisation.

Essential Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within AI, SaaS, or enterprise technology.

• Strong programming skills in Python; experience with JavaScript or TypeScript is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience developing applications using LLMs and generative AI technologies such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or similar.

• Experience with APIs, system integrations, backend development, and databases (SQL).

• Familiarity with RAG, vector databases, AI agents, and prompt engineering.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Understanding of software deployment, Docker, CI/CD, and production environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers and stakeholders.

• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Nice to Haves

• Previous experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect.

• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.

• Familiarity with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, SAP, or Microsoft platforms.

• Experience working in a start-up or fast-growing AI technology company.

• Knowledge of enterprise security, data privacy, and GDPR.
