Country Legal Head - Turkiye and Azerbaijan

We are partnering with a leading global outsourcing and technology services company supporting governments and diplomatic missions worldwide. Due to business growth, we are looking for a Country Head of Legal to join their team in Istanbul.

Reporting to the Regional Legal Head- Middle East and Africa, the key duties and responibilities of this position will be as follows:

Litigation & Dispute Management 

• Manage all litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings. 

• Develop litigation strategy, including risk assessment and cost control. 

Regulatory Oversight 

• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards. 

• Liaise with regulatory authorities and government bodies. 

Legal Risk Management and Governance: 

• Identify legal risks and implement mitigation strategies. 

• Ensure strong corporate governance and adherence to internal policies. 

• Report key legal risks and updates to Regional Legal Head and Senior Leadership. 

• Managing the relationship with key local business partners. 

Legal Strategy and Leadership 

• Lead and implement the country’s legal strategy aligned with business objectives. 

• Act as the principal legal advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders. 

Contracting and Advisory 

• Review, draft, and negotiate key commercial contracts and agreements. 

• Provide legal advice on business transactions, partnerships, and new initiatives. 

• Support cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Operations) on legal matters.

Experience 

• 10 - 15 years of experience in Corporate and Legal Affairs. 

• Strong familiarity with government processes, law enforcement agencies and regulatory frameworks. 

• Education Bachelor’s degree in law. 

• Proficiency in the Turkish, and English languages is mandatory.
