Position Summary
The Consultant – P&CEO provides senior-level advisory support directly to the President & CEO, offering strategic, operational, and technical insights to enhance executive decision-making. The role involves working across all business functions to align strategy, performance, and operations in the oil and gas downstream sector. The consultant acts as a trusted advisor, contributing to high-impact initiatives that improve efficiency, safety, reliability, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory: Support the President & CEO in formulating, reviewing, and implementing corporate strategies, business plans, and transformation initiatives.
Operational Oversight: Analyze operational performance across refining, maintenance, and supply chain functions; provide recommendations for optimization and cost efficiency.
Performance Management: Track key business and operational KPIs; prepare performance summaries and strategic reports for executive review.
Project Evaluation: Review major capital, turnaround, or improvement projects to ensure strategic alignment and value realization.
Governance & Compliance: Assist in maintaining alignment with corporate governance frameworks, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination: Prepare executive-level briefings, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to senior management and technical leaders.
Special Assignments: Manage or support executive-led initiatives and cross-functional improvement programs.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or related field).
Experience: Minimum 18 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in refining or petrochemical operations.
Strong background in operations, performance management, strategic planning, or technical consulting.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with executive leadership and joint venture stakeholders.
Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Preferred Attributes
Prior experience in a large integrated refinery or petrochemical complex.
Proven capability in change management, business transformation, or corporate advisory roles.
MBA or advanced degree in management, energy economics, or related discipline is desirable.
Strong leadership presence, strategic thinking ability, and sound judgment under pressure.
